Alkemie welcomes a new core member!

We are so pleased to officially welcome our longtime collaborator, friend, Elisa (“Ellie”) Sutherland as a full-fledged core member of the ensemble.

Known for her “soul-infused expressiveness and unself-conscious joie de vivre” (New York Music Daily), mezzo-soprano Elisa Sutherland is dedicated to detailed, stylistic interpretations of early and new music

Ellie has previously worked with Alkemie as a producer of the Love to My Liking album and our “Florilegium” and “Love to My Liking” concert videos, and she is a featured singer on our a fine companion album, for which she also adapted the English translations. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have her wide-ranging expertise as an ensemble leader!
